Homemade Sushi—not as simple as you think

We made homemade sushi. And it went something like this …

“Ohhhhh, babe, let’s get a sushi kit and we can make sushi at home.”

“Ohhh, yea. Let’s”

Well … while it was very, very, very good, I now have a newfound appreciation for the folks behind the scenes making the damn rolls look so perfect and I will NEVER EVER EVER complain if it takes them longer than I want it to, when I order rolls in a restaurant.

And all I can say is thank God my husband has big hands (for more reasons than one, lol) because there is no way I could have “rolled” the stuff and had it actually stay together.

Anyhoo … if you stopped by today because it’s National Sushi Day and you were hoping for some inspiration to try making sushi at home yourself, I have none for you—but, I can tell you that once you try making it at home, you will start tipping more at sushi restaurants : ) Just sayin’ … it’s an art peeps, a pure art! BONUS, we also made crab Rangoon and vegan egg rolls and those were absolutely YUM!
